Auto responders work by replying to emails with pre specified information. For instance, if a customer were to send an email order to orders@yourdomain.com, you could arrange for a "Thank You" email to be automatically sent to them.

Another great use for auto responders is when you are away on holiday, your auto response could let people know that you won't be able to reply to their email until a certain date.
